Shower profile trims

Drainage channels are a key component in the installation of modern walk-in showers. They enable the floor to be sloped precisely, ensuring that water is effectively drained away to the linear drain. Besco’s range includes gradient strips made from high-quality materials that are resistant to moisture and mechanical damage. Gradient strips are extremely important in bathrooms, where aesthetics go hand in hand with functionality. Precise profiling of the floor using these strips prevents water from pooling and ensures safe use. Carefully selected slope strips allow you to create a uniform, seamless surface.

Thanks to our gradient strips, installing a linear drain becomes simpler and more effective. Check out the full range of gradient strips and choose the perfect solution for your bathroom!

Besco shower profile trims – a professional finish for a rimless shower enclosure

Installing a shower directly on the floor requires not only a suitable drain but also precise profiling of the floor. Besco slope strips have been designed to solve the problem of unsightly edges created when creating a slope (so-called ‘envelopes’ or single-sided slopes). Thanks to them, the transition between the level part of the bathroom and the sloped shower area is smooth, safe and visually appealing. It is a detail that distinguishes an amateur installation from a professional architectural design.

Why are gradient strips essential in your bathroom?

Using dedicated edge strips is an investment that significantly raises the standard of the finish. It is worth choosing Besco gradient strips when:

  • You want to avoid sharp edges: The strip conceals the tile cut at an angle, protecting your household’s feet from cuts.
  • You care about the aesthetics of the details: Instead of thick layers of grout on the side edge of the slope, you get an elegant steel profile that matches the fittings and drain.
  • You are planning to install a walk-in shower screen: Edge strips provide a stable and even base for installing glass profiles or the side walls of the shower enclosure.
  • You want to make the contractor’s job easier: The strip marks out a precise slope line, which reduces tiling time and minimises the risk of installation errors.

Highest quality of workmanship: Stainless steel

All Besco slope strips are made of high-grade stainless steel, which is crucial in areas exposed to constant contact with water and detergents. Our strips are characterised by:

  • Corrosion resistance: A special steel alloy ensures that the channel will not rust or discolour when exposed to moisture.
  • A variety of options: We offer left-hand and right-hand channels in various lengths, allowing for a complete enclosure of the shower area regardless of its layout.

How to choose a shower channel?

When choosing a channel, pay attention to the installation side (left/right) and the thickness of the tiles to be used. Besco channels are available in standard lengths (e.g. 120 cm), allowing for flexible adaptation. Thanks to their precise sloped profile, these channels work perfectly with most linear drainage systems, ensuring water flows in the correct direction.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How does the left-hand gradient strip differ from the right-hand one?

The side of the channel is determined by looking towards the linear drain. The left-hand channel is on the left side of the slope, and the right-hand channel on the right. The choice depends on which side has a vertical wall or open space in the bathroom that you wish to finish.

Can slope strips be used with any type of tile?

Yes, Besco gradient strips go perfectly with porcelain stoneware, ceramic tiles and natural stone. The only important thing is that the thickness of the tile, including the adhesive, does not exceed the height of the strip’s edge.

Is a slope strip necessary when installing a linear drain?

It is not technically required for the drain to function, but it is essential for achieving an aesthetic and safe finish. Without a skirting board, the side edge of the tiles (visible at the slope) would have to be finished with grout or silicone, which looks unattractive and is difficult to keep clean.
