Can a Slim-type low shower tray be installed in any bathroom?

Slim shower trays look best when recessed into the floor, which requires chiselling out sufficient space for the trap beneath the floor surface. If your floor does not allow for this, you can install such a shower tray directly on the tiles, though it will create a slight step. It is worth checking the height of the top-cleaned trap to minimise the required installation depth.

How does an acrylic shower tray differ from a mineral one?

Acrylic shower trays are lighter, warmer to the touch and usually more affordable. Mineral shower trays (made from cast marble or stone) are heavier, extremely rigid and characterised by a very low profile and a unique texture (e.g. stone imitation). Both types are durable, but mineral models are more often chosen for luxury walk-in bathrooms.

How should you care for your shower tray to keep it looking its best?
